The farmhouse is warm and grounded, with exposed beams, a log burner at the centre of the living room, and a proper kitchen built for long sessions. Outside, a private garden leads to a wood-fired hot tub and a Swedish sauna. The dining table seats eight. The garden goes on further than you'd expect.

Inside, exposed beams and a central log burner make the living room the place everyone ends up. The kitchen is made for proper cooking, not the kind that stays confined to one person. It opens through double doors onto the patio, so the inside and outside start to blur.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super king bed and floor-to-ceiling windows that face open fields. Just beyond, a freestanding bath sits by a large window, the kind of bath that makes slow mornings feel justified rather than indulgent.
Two further bedrooms share the same calm register. One includes a mezzanine sleeping area, which either delights or horrifies guests depending on their relationship with ladders.
The main bathroom is finished in soft pink tiles with a walk-in shower.
Outside, the private garden is designed for the kind of afternoon that becomes an evening without anyone deciding to make that happen. The wood-fired hot tub takes a couple of hours to heat start it when you arrive. The Swedish sauna is faster. The Gozney pizza oven and Kamado BBQ sit on the patio, along with enough seating for everyone to eat outside.
Freya's suits groups who want to be properly together in the same kitchen, around the same table, arguing about what to watch.

Bonington Farm sits beneath the East Midlands Airport flightpath, so you may occasionally hear a plane pass overhead. Most guests don't notice, but we wanted you to know.
Freya's is set within the wider farm, with other stays nearby. We ask that noise is kept to a comfortable level after midnight, out of respect for other guests and for the barn that functions as our family home.
For commercial photography, videography or brand shoots, a media rate applies. Please mention this before booking rather than after - we're glad to accommodate it with the right arrangement in place.
Events and parties are welcome with prior conversation. Get in touch and we'll tell you what's possible.
Pets are welcome. £35 per stay, up to two well-behaved dogs.
The Farm Takeover already feels complete but a few of our favourite extras tend to make it.
The Film House — a private cinema in a converted grain store, wrapped in mustard curtains. £25 per person for a three-hour session. Add it when you book, or get in touch to arrange it.
